festival PROGRAMME
Fresh Air – Broadcasting New Irish Music on Today FM.
For the month of November 2009 Donal Dineen turned his Small Hours (midnight to 2am) show into a festival of new music called Fresh Air. The intention was to collect Donal’s choices of the best irish soundmakers of today in one place, talk to them about their process, hear them play live, and invite them to share the music that they are listening to with him and with the listeners. There was also a series of 4 special live gigs around the country as part of Fresh Air.
He’s repeated the experience in May 2010 with live shows in Sligo, Tralee, Cork and Limerick and a series of on air sessions from Monday 10th May onwards.
The line-up of artists that appeared live in studio in May is below.
