Dark slipped its cloak…Goodtime John and Patrick Kelleher and His Cold Dead Hands

November 12, 2009

Goodtime John and Patrick Kelleher & His Cold Dead Hands were in studio last night bringing a wealth of new tunes with them, and playing some of their own newest tracks live on air.

Goodtime John kicked off proceedings with this first track pick from Washington native  Mount Eerie, – someone he went on to talk about recording his ep:  Dark Slipped Its Cloak with, which is available to download for free complete with great artwork (other acts please take note)  He followed that with a series of three gorgeous live songs on acoustic guitar, all written in the last month or two.

Patrick Kelleher and His Cold Dead Hands (in this case Ger in studio) played some great tracks from their recent record You Look Cold and got to chatting about playing in Dublin, The Box Social, Jeff Buckley on No Disco, Jackson C. Frank, Terry Reid and Children under Hoof band mate Robyn Bromfield aka Catscars who’s track Dried they brought in, along with the best christmas present ever in the shape of a keyboard Patrick got when he was 7.

They also gave the brilliant Jape remix of Wonder a spin- and you can head to Nialler9’s blog if you want to listen to Wonder and get the lowdown on the remix album (by Oaska) that it will be released on.
